If not you could make them perhaps ?
Either thin metal formed into rings or maybe a suitable sized tin can cut into rings.
I've made pastry cutters in this way before👍

Tuna cans are just perfect for this.

Are tin cans not all plastic lined these days? Has anyone got info on whether heating a tin's plastic lining is advisable? Having asked that question I realise many recipes requiring caramel suggest boiling of condensed milk in the tin so I guess it must be fine.... unless...

Get the local Tuna (New style John West don't work). Cut bottom of can, empty, then pull ring at top of can. If making crumpets then use the bottom cut part flat on pan (top pull ring part will have a ridge and crumpets will not fall out).

Butter inside of ring, well, each time. Do not leave on heat too long before remove ring, otherwise they will stick to ring and almost impossible to pull out.

Reason I know this is I bought frozen from S*H and they were disgusting. Had to make my own.

I got some from Wish. Ordered 2 different sets, so far 1 has arrived. I make the crumpets with my sourdough discard.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

Hi dippersgirl, thats the problem, I have the perfect recipe but no crumpet rings. I am going to make some using the tuna tins today.

David cut ours from a tuna tin with his tin snips, and that worked fine( if you have a tin opener that cuts the top edges off you don't have to do anything)

I'lll have a go when the winter comes but the thought of eating hot crumpets with lashings of butter etc, fills me with dread in this heat.
