Recommendations of where to buy glassses

I had my eyes tested in the UK last week and have my new prescription. Can anyone recommend the best place to go and will they accept a UK prescription.

I use Akay optics in town - on road that goes through town on trhe right about 100 yards paste the George - they also have another branch but I cant rememebr where.

Me too, Akay Optics in town. They`ve made me up glasses from a UK prescription and also took the prescription from the actual lenses themselves and replaced my damaged sunglasses. Can`t remember how much my normal glasses cost but replacing the lenses in my prescription sunglasses was 300tl.

Akay Optics for me too. The other shop is on the main road above town going in Lapta direction go past roundabout with the fountain, on the right hand side. You have to turn round & come back on yourself. Large car park at the rear, turn left into it just before the shop.

Akay Optics for me too. On main road into town, next door to main Deniz Plaza and Garanti Bank. Drive down side of their shop to their large private car park. Exit into the road that runs behind the original Mr Pound. Or if you really want to treat yourself go to their large main shop in Lefkosa and they have thousands to choose from. Its like Aladdins cave for glasses wearers. Directly opposite the State Hospital.

Many thanks. Glasses ordered ordered from Akay Optic. Only problem was that it took 1 1/2 hours - too much choice!!
