Not good news for us! Other half cant cope with being g locked up in a room for 7 days, so sadly for us no Christmas trip for us, only hope is the vaccination

I know what you mean, I want to visit Uk and these restrictions aren't helping. I've not seen my family for 3 years. Planned to go then Atlasjet crashed then lockdown and now all this quarantine. I also need to go to Turkey for personal reasons so was hoping for home quarantine.

Ditto forestpixie, no UK for 3 years for us, in our case Pegasus debacle and quarantines both ends.

According to BBC News this morning, it sounded as though the policy has, or will change coming into the UK, in that if you pay for a private test after 5 days of quarantine, if the test comes back negative you're free to move around. However the British Government have not stipulated which (if any) private test providers are acceptable.
