Mobile phone tax
Hi, just wondering if anyone has any idea of what the tax is on phones bought in the UK and brought over to the trnc, I want to buy my granddaughter a new mobile phone for Xmas but want to know how much tax I would need to pay. If anyone is about to pay the tax on their phone and could get this information that would be great. Thanks

I believe it depends on the value of the phone more information on the link above.

Buy the new phone here in N Cyprus. Very similar prices i.e. Samsung J5 around £200. All taxes paid. No hassle

I am not convinced that the phones here are all original, how can you have an iPhone which is over £1000 in the UK be advertised st nearly half the price. I know that Turkcell etc sell the original but I would prefer to get in the UK and know what I am buying. Thanks for your help though

Southern belle,
I bought my iPhone from Turkcell and only about £20 more than the UK price and no tax to pay.

No, it's only on devices using KKTCell and Telsim, not wifi.Deniz1 wrote:Off topic but would I have to pay tax on an Ipad brought from the uk and used on my home wifi?
