A message from the Olive Press Flat Green Bowls reads:
Hello Everyone

At last the news is good and The Olive Press will be open from 9.30am on Tuesday 24th April.

So many of you have been down to see us over the last few weeks and it has been lovely to meet you all. Come down and get some practice in before the big opening.

We are not a members only club but have some good offers available for both the bowlers and the non bowlers so come and see us soon!!!!!!!!!!

It is time for me to go and have a 'bash'. I have been told it is easy - just a swing of the arm! Hmmm..... bet it's not THAT easy, but I am going to have a go - see you there????????????

You're right, Marion, its not. My first was credible for a first , then it completely went to pot!! BUT I do intend to have another try!

Thanks for telling me what I suspecgted was true. But persevere mamachina and I will do the same. But I have not even had throw no.1. It is just as well the bowling green is a way away from houses! If the football I played as a child is anything to go by. But probably the balls are too heavy for me to 'throw'.
