Help about "painting"
I have external walls of an old house rendered with white Eurotex, do I need to seal with "Astar" first then paint, or is there a paint I could use that will adhere well to the render and seal?

Hello soner.........after sealing your exterior .........always a tad messy.....but you must do it.........leave for a few days, then use a quality primer........Marshall produce an ideal product.........then apply a quality exterior paint.......remember, it’s all about the prepping.......good luck with your project.....

Re: Help about "painting"
Mist coat is our preference, Use any light matt emulsion to seal new plaster in what we call a mist coat, This should be mixed at a ratio of roughly 20% water and 80% paint, this coat will soak straight in. You can apply with a brush or roller. It will then require a further 2 coats of whatever colour you choose. If you decide to use a primer be careful the mix is correct , if the mix is to strong it will act as a barrier, hence the next coat will adhere to the primer not the wall , can lead to problems later if damp sets in . Come across it loads of times out here where the paint peels off like wallpaper , Good Luck https://www.facebook.com/brisonhandymansolutions/
