Re: Ercan Airport.
Don't go there Shoie - I hate picking family up from the airport in UK, the cost of fuel and parking is criminal. If I were a cabby I would want a nice sum for the time, fuel and parking. But then again, I was so used to the free parking at Ercan, that I thought is was a real shame that they introduced the fees - trust me they will only go up with time.
Have they started to charge for parking in TRNC hospitals yet? I don't visit sick people anymore. (just kidding).

Andrew4232, but if by miracle you do find one - do you have to pay for the privilege?

Re: Ercan Airport.
the cost of living is going up in Cyprus by the square, but it is still better than U.K. The ones who suffer most are those on minimum wage, but for those of us on income formU.K, then it is affordable. The car park in Kyrenia centre is really cheap and one can go off and have a coffee and know youdon't needa mortgage to pay the cdar parking fee. when I wa sin London 3 years ago, it was £25 yes - twenty five pounds sterling - to park near Covent Garden in a car park! Ouch, ouch and double ouch. fortnatley we did not have to pay as the bill was footed by ITV. so when I see that some car parks are now 4tl, I remind myself of the fact that I doubt I could afford to go into Central London and it is my home town.
Things could always be worse. But I DO agree with soner that parking for nothing at Ercan was terrific, and the other ddown side nnow is that it always seems to be packed!

We paid £30 to park in China Town when we went to the theatre last week. It's disgusting!

I think Ercan is great, 15 tl for the first day then 5tl for every day after that, so a 10 day break away will cost 60 tl, How much at Stansted, Heathrow etc ????
