Re: EFRAR 2018 CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Christmas came early to Esentepe with the EFRAR 2018 Christmas Fayre taking place at Tumba Restaurant on Sunday, 26 November 2017.
An amazing TL3,211 was raised when around 150 people came to support the event which attracted such stalls as decorated pebbles, plaques, food, mulled wine, tombola, crochet items and much more.
Father Christmas (Art Watson) was in attendance as were two of his elves (Sue Steel and Mary Watson) much to the amusement of the shoppers.
The food was quick to sell and people enjoyed the festive season starting early with Alex Kennedy’s mulled wine.
All traders did brisk business and donated generously to the overall fund, particularly Rose Lofty and Dave Smith. Şevki Nasipoğlu, owner of Tumba’s Restaurant also made a donation from the sales of tea and coffee.
Mary Watson, Chairperson of EFRAR 2018 commented: “I was delighted to see such an enthusiastic turnout of customers. Luckily, the weather stayed dry and we were able to hold the Fayre outside which suited our stallholders better.
Our sincere thanks must go to Şevki Nasipoğlu for allowing us the use of his restaurant, to all the traders who gave so willingly and worked hard to bring along such an array of wonderful things, to all our volunteers for their time and energy and to all those who came along to buy or just browse”.
