hi i hav'nt got green fingers but i do try lol can anyone tell me if i can take a cutting from a bouganvillea if it is possible is there a certain time of the year to do it

I have got a big white bougainvillia and lots of neighbours have asked me for a cutting. I know of two people, who have succeeded. They did this in Feb/March, but I don't think it's too late.

Today somebody told me "Put a cutting in a raw potato in a pot with compost", not just bougainvillia.
I btoke a bit of my Mandevilla today, so I decided to try this .will report back!!
