Auxiliary speakers for TV
The sound on our new Samsung TV. despite altering the settings for sound, is very 'boxed'. Is it possible to buy auxiliary speakers for it which enhance the sound? If so, where please?

Have you considered a sound bar? We bought a Samsung one from the mall by Ercan Airport, can't remember how much but cheaper than UK. It connects via cable or Bluetooth (which we find better) to the TV. I've seen them in lots of other shops that sell tvs, such as Mark's World.

Re: Auxiliary speakers for TV
This is a common problem with new televisions these days due to them having to be thinner than ever. Speakers will be at the back and only small. On ours we could hear the tv clearly if we were sat on the loo in the room behind it but it was rubbish sat in front of it. Speaker direction and size is the main problem. We bought a LG soundbar from Technogold in Karakum and since then it has been better (not perfect) and we are able to hear speech far better than before.

Thank you all for helpful answers. Can you say roughly how much these sound bars cost please?

Like anything else the price varies from quite reasonable to quite scary. I seem to recall ours was on offer at 1000tl So about £140 which for what we have got was OK I guess. Although having spent considerably more on a TV in the first place you shouldn't really have to pay extra to hear it!
