Royal Rafters
had the pleasure of attending the new Royal Rafters restaurant last night for the first time. only by chance we found out it was opened on facebook. So had to try as Rafters was always my favourite restaurant, and am pleased to say that everything was excellent. Service very good, very polite staff, food excellent, so pleased I can now enjoy my favourite curry again, and will happily go back time and time again. So i wish the new owners/staff all the very best with their new venture i do hope it does well, i'm sure it will!

Re: Royal Rafters
Hello helendj,
I was a regular visitor to Rafters in Ozankoy and hope to be again soon.
Can you confirm that Royal Rafters is the former Rafters renamed ?
Do you or anyone know what the history is of any changes that have been made? Assuming it is the same place revamped I'm pleased to hear it is maintaining its former good reputation.

jameslevel7,
it is the same location, but has been taken over by other people, not the originals of course. the place was closed down and revamped. still worth going to.

Thanks helendj,
I'm sorry the old place is no more. Like a lot of regular visitors I have some good and sentimental memories.
I will certainly try the new place as soon as I can travel again. Your endorsement is most encouraging.

Now run by Chacha and his family, we went the other night. Same menu just different taste. They make their own naan, very nice. Not too much of a refurb really mainly too outside living quarters. Shame about the tv on the wall. Apparently he's planning to show football etc.jameslevel7 wrote: ↑Fri 04 Jun 2021 11:24 amHello helendj,

Ah so not really refurbished much in particular the toilets there have always put us off, so we will wait and see I think.

The food is fabulous. Cha Cha has had a lot of negative feedback about the television and knows the general feeling about not wanting it turned into a sports bar..........we will wait and see. Football would drive us elsewhere!
Well worth a visit.
Have to say the dog was only there before people arrived but Four of us arrived early and the dog and its bowls were moved immediately. We have not seen it in any of the half dozen visits since.
Just sitting in the garden awaiting my Chicken Tikka Bhuna and PeshwariNaan bread. Cheers and good luck to Royal Rafters. They had a hard act to follow and are doing brilliantly.
