No freebie, no discount. Yes it definately was good value for money. When food and service is good, money does not come into it. See my review on Gilham Vineyard, paid more than double for what I normally pay for dining out in TRNC, and that was definately good value for money.

Group of friends went last week and they could not have been happier, great surroundings lovely staff and excellent food, and will certainly be returning

I know it depends what you have but 1,130 tl seems rather expensive to me , without alcohol as well. We went to a well known restaurant, 4 poppadoms, two main meals with rice, 6 chapatis, two brandies and two coffees on the house, and three beers, 780 Tl, the food was lovely.

Mollie the cat, that sounds very cheap are you sure the meat was for human consumption cause I just went to Burger King and 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals cost me about over 1000 tl
You need to take a step back and think how is it possible knowing the cost of meat prices that someone can charge that less with alcohol. I think <<moderated>> is being added. Good luck I think they are a charity for charging that sort of price.

We have been eating there for 18yrs and never had a bad meal. We both had chicken, I am old enough to know what chicken looks and taste like. If you break it down, Efes 50 tl, poppadoms are not much, two chicken meals, free local Brandy and coffee on the house. I can make chapatis for next to nothing, that was without a tip, they got a healthy tip.

Like I said earlier in this post, good luck to the restaurant we may even have a takeaway this week. Your <<moderated>> comment is not worth talking about, its a very well run establishment with many customers.

it was not meant to be comparable at all, I have heard nothing but good reports of the new one, like you said we all have choices.

Tried Popadoms at the weekend, found the owners to be extremely hospitable. The owner visited our table a few times, checking in to make sure everything was ok. The food is full of flavour, mixed grill was well prepared and sizzling when it arrived at the table. Great samosas, Nan bread, and mains. Defitnatly the best Indian I've been to on the Island.

Having read Kibkom for many years I feel compelled to write my first post in part due to the unnecessary and unjust comments made by the ex pat keyboard warriors!
And also to throughly recommend this restaurant, as a party of four we visited Poppadoms on Saturday evening and all really enjoyed the experience.
The owner and his staff were very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive, the restaurant and toilets were first class as were the meals, nan breads to die for in fact everything as good as you can get in the UK and worth the drive over from Karsakiya we look forward to our next visit again very soon.
So if you like Indian food and can do without a drink for a couple of hours you need to try it.

Tried the open buffet with friends today and had a thoroughly lovely time. Maybe no alcohol but what a lovely change from the usual Pepsi, sprite and a juice on offer, lots of choice. Try their cocktails!

The Open Buffet runs from 12.30pm to 3.30 pm on Tues , Wed, Thur, Sat and Sunday to avoid any doubts.
