Weird about India Garden they normally open around 4pm which of course won't help you at lunch time!

Didn't know that about The Courtyard.

India garden we generally turn up just after 15:00 and generally they are open but by 16:00 tables are set up

Good news. Driven past and it never seemed to progress. Always willing to try a new place, might get some of the others to pull their socks up and change the menus that have been the same for Millenia !

Those unit are very small inside and I see they have a small outside eating area, one of those that needs booking perhaps?

We have a seating capacity of 90 people and a reservation is not needed.

Interesting. I too wish them well. Indian though? Not so sure. Probably more Pakistani truth be told. But billling themselves as such wouldn’t work. I don’t like the misrepresentation from that community.

So if the truth is to be told .........it is not Pakistani , But rather Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine.

Also FYI- 95% of Indian restaurants across the UK are Bangladeshi owned and we have been part of that 95%.

We never did like crowds of people when we ate out and much prefer to have our own conversations rather than be forced to listen to everybody else’s and their telephone conversations as well. We are actually closed every Monday but i do sincerely hope that they enjoyed their meal elsewhere.

I cannot remember our conversation due to speaking to many lovely people during the restaurant works, and we do hope that everyone here enjoys their stint on this island - even the haters

….and it’s his business and his decision to want to run his business how he wants. Assuming his personal reasons are for religious reasons (maybe completely wrong) there are plenty of nationalities living or frequenting North Cyprus that will support their business because it doesn’t sell alcohol.

Why can’t you support a new business by having a nice meal and then go and support another business by having a drink elsewhere. I get it that people like a curry and beer together, but surely it’s more about the food.

There is a mass market here for overseas tourists that recently have searched us out on social media , and on Friday we had a group of 12 and 4 and then on Saturday another 4 who said our establishment suited their needs.

Again we appreciate any custom that we receive and we are open to all to at least try the food.

I have opened the restaurant first and foremost so that my wife and I can enjoy a real Indian meal to our tastes, and if we have customers along the way who would like to try it too , then all are welcome.

With the lack of “Drink” being the main bug bear here, just wondering if all drinkers have a nominated non drinking driver in the group on a night out, or use a taxi……. Unless you are the “I’m ok to drive do it all the time” Well one day you could add to the tragic death rate caused by drink drivers, or be involved in a serious accident on these all ready deadly roads.

Most accident’s are caused mainly by Drink Drivers as daily paper’s reveal and show time after time the tragic loss of life.

I drove past at 7pm cause I had an appointment nearby and the sign light was on, the terrace light was on and I could see people eating inside too. Maybe your driving pass the wrong restaurant

Have tried all Pakistani restaurants over last 20 years and this place beats them for authentic Indian food. Ambience & toilets spot on. Which makes a change. Just a shame we can't have a beer but when you get food of this quality then not a prob.

Maybe you need to “chill” on some of the feedback. It’s definitely putting people off. If you serve the public expect to get praise AND negative comments it’s part of the industry.
Anyway it’s your business so carry on however you wish to I guess just saying
