sand fly collar

we fitted a sandfly collar on the dog at it seems to have had an adverse affect on him ,he has scratched himself so much he had all scabs under the collar,has anyone else found these collars an irritant for the dog

did you leave it out of the packet for 24 hours before you put it on your dog ????
I think you are supposed to.

Yes done that but have found out dogs can have bad reactions from them,next year will find an alternative

My Cyprus Terrier used to be fine with them then last year he started having a reaction to them thought is was because he had just been cut but tried this year when his hair was longer and he was scratching all the time so stopped using the coller. You can get drops from vet instead they only last 1 month but he has not had reaction to the drops

Yes our Tibet an was scratching all the time,OK now tho ,I will get the drops then next time .
