Help using wireless keyboard to replace broken remote

The remote for my T8Pro android box has gone wrong, no life in it at all. Whilst I can use a wireless keyboard for navigating around, I just cannot find a way to use the wireless keyboard to turn the box on and off?

My other query is about a replacement remote. Can a generic remote be bought and how do I get it connected to the right bit of equipment!

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

I have a faulty remote for an android box wireless qwerty keyboard navigates and switches off
The only way to switch on is cable out and then cable in wakes it up
Any ideas how the qwerty keyboard can start the box would be apreciated

Dont know if you've seen this link provided by Navek on another thread on this section
I use qwerty keyboard for navigating not aware of a on off switch, I use the original remote for on / off.

Thank you Kerry6138. most helpful. It looks like I will have to purchase a replacement remote that will operate the on/off switch.
