Terrible Internet - New provider required
I've just renewed my annual subscription for the internet and it's worse than ever.
Can somebody please recommend a service provider that allows more than one person to be connected at the same time?
I don't understand how I can go to some restaurants and lots of people are connected.
I work from home and need a reasonably stable internet connection, I need to get another provider on board asap.

Hello. This topic has been discussed many times. The conclusion is most to of the ISPs give similar (poor) internet performance especially during peak hours. In my experience a lot depends on the "last mile" for example if your local base station works well.

Sometimes it is not the Provider but the Turkish link, the other day I checked and had 15 to 20 Mbs to my provider but when checking to Turkey it was down to under 2 Mbs

Why do people subscribe to an "Annual Fee" why not sign up to three months where you don't pay extra for installation. Then if the service is no good try someone else.
Do this until you find a service that you are happy with.

Some do, Some don't. ..
To find out why the ones that don't, don't, you would need to ask one of them that specific question.
The rest of us have no idea!

At the moment in the UK but have been down this road before in TRNC. With constant buffering a speed check to the ISP ( MM ) showed good speed. However when I changed server to a Eu ISP it went down dramatically. In my way of thinking it showed that MM were supplying what they advertised, with the problem being the supply through Turkey or the ISP in EU.
As a non techie this seems straightforward but perhaps I’ve got it wrong..

Multimax offers money back for the unused portion of your account , and you dont need to provide an excuse. Ask your provider for the same service, you never know, maybe service quality will start off as good and nosedive later...Ferguson wrote:Why do people subscribe to an "Annual Fee" why not sign up to three months where you don't pay extra for installation. When will the promised extra internet whatever it is (power/bandwidth?) from Turkey that an agreement was signed for recently actually happen? Is that something that happens with a click of a switch or do they have to lay a new cable from Turkey to NC?

Hector - the fibre between here and Turkey should be ok.. its the investment on the equipment either end which dictates the capacity
Tonight my speeds are:
Download 2.1mbps
Upload 0.2 mbps
No wonder the TV isn't working

It was bad last night - switched it all off and went to bed - it was too late and I was tired but this morning it's like lightning! Obviously what network issue existed last night has been fixed....
