Grrrrrrrrrr. No wifi connections successful - Help please

Desperate to download my new books onto my Kindle.

Went to Shooters for coffee just to download them and guess what, could not, the staff assured me that the password I was given was correct but my Kindle just would not have it!

Can anyone please, please tell me where to go to get wifi which will work, Almond bar was not successful, Sardunya neither and the staff were just so unhelpful.

Anywhere else I can try.

Does any kind soul have wifi at home, I will bring cake and coffee too if I can use it to get my book?

Had the same problem. I went onto the harbour and managed to connect to the wifi at The Limon Hotel.

Thanks Brend - how did you get the password though?

For goodness sake, I could not get it with the passwords provided by all these establishments

Frustrated with nothing to read

Are you able to connect to the wifi networks at all or is it refusing to connect ? If it is refusing to connect then it is nothing to do with region issues. It may be to do with how wifi security is set up on ther various routers / wireless access points. It is also possible that you are just not entering the password correctly , as it can be a little fiddly using the kindle to enter a password - remeber case (capital letters or small ones) matter with passwords.

If it connects to the wifi network ok but refused to download your books then it may be a region issue and you may have to use a pc/laptop with a vpn to order the books on and then connect the kindle to the laptop / pc to get them onto the kindle.

You are welcome to pm me directly if you want to try from my house, I have wifi and PC's laptops with VPN's on them so can tery either route from there. I live in Girne (near the bypass not far from the ezic premier but on the girne side of the bypass)

The password comes up when you press connect. Worked fine on my Kindle.

Quite apart from Wifi - you can download the book to your PC, connect PC to Kindle via USB lead, and just 'drag and drop' the book into the 'documents' folder on the Kindle

As Keithcaley says, it is very easy to get books onto your Kindle via a USB lead.

If by any chance you are on holiday and do not have access to a computer here I would be more than happy to put a load of books of various authors onto your Kindle for you to keep you going, just send me a message (I do live in the Lapta area).
