I understand that he is - Suat Günsel is the owner of the Near East University and Hospital, so the one in Karakum is actually a branch of the one in Lefkoşa.

Yes he is and only uses specialists at the Suat Gunsel unless there is not a suitable specialist/Surgeon and then its the Near East in Lefkosia, which is unusual now but not unheard of. They don't like to use the word "branch" They are together but totally separate as one Surgeon told me last year, so don't assume the pricing structures are the same because they are not.
