Tic relief for 3 strays.
So, in my village there are 3 strays. Mama and her 2 female pups approximately 6 or 7 months. Now they actually seem to have quite a nice gentle life. Most of the locals have accepted them, and they are all super friendly and loving, and are definitely not hungry, and have become quite comfortable. I myself wormed them a few months ago, so they are very healthy...although mum is pregnant again...and I'm not entirely sure what to do about this as she is too far gone or an abortion...but thats a problem for another day.
The reason I am writing this post is to ask for your help. These poor dogs are absolutely smothered in tics, and I am not able to afford treatment for them. The Nexguard I believe is about 100tl each....If you think you are able to help me de-tic this lovely family, i and them I am sure, will be enormously grateful.
thank you in advance.
Sam.
If you'd like to help then please give me a call on 05338331292

I am also aware that the 2 pups will need spaying as soon as possible, so any help and advice on this matter will be appreciated.
Thank you

If it's any help, I use Fiprojin 10% for ticks & fleas, it's way more economical than other flea and tick treatments and has worked well over the past few years. You can buy it at a pharmacy that stocks vet medicines. A 100 ml bottle can do quite a number of dogs for months. Worming tablets Univerm Total come in a pack of 20, again quite economical compared to some others. I can't give you current prices am afraid.

I live across the road from a goat farm (ish)...and my dog Mr Ted likes to sleep outside, and every year he gets infested with tics. He literally is covered in them, and everything i have tried only lasts for maybe a month, if I am lucky. However, I tried Nexguard last year...and he was tic free for the whole season...in fact I didn't have to dose him again until a month ago. This is why I want to get Nexguard for this family.

Have you tried any of the animal charities for help?

Fair enough DD, understand. With the Fiprojin, it does have to be done monthly.

I hope some people will help you out with the cost of the treatment for the dogs, I am in the UK so unable to contribute but would if I could.

That's good news. Fuat at Garfield vet has always been very helpful and generous when it comes to treating strays (for future reference).Daisy Dukes wrote: ↑Thu 13 Aug 2020 1:03 pmMany many thanks to a lovely lady in my village...dogs are now de-ticked.... <3
