Taking water on board a plane
I have been informed today that Anadolu Airline does not provide so much as bottled water, let alone basic food. As we are flying to UK and cannot take liquid on board with us what would you suggest we do?

Must have changed since January as my kids were fed and watered on their Anadolujet flight. You can buy food and drinks after security to consume on flights at both originating and transit airports.benjaminbutton wrote: ↑Sun 26 Jun 2022 1:39 pmI have been informed today that Anadolu Airline does not provide so much as bottled water, let alone basic food. Found this https://www.anadolujet.com/en/travel-se ... e-catering
I think that the reference to no food on the North Cyprus flights is just for the leg to/from Istanbul.

Thanks, hope you are correct COA. Someone else this afternoon thought the no water, no food, was during the Pandemic but hearsay only.

We flew Ercan to Stansted yesterday
You get a small bottle of water on the first leg to Istanbul then a cheese and tomato roll, cake, water and juice on the leg to Stansted

You can take liquid on board any plane.benjaminbutton wrote: ↑Sun 26 Jun 2022 1:39 pmI have been informed today that Anadolu Airline does not provide so much as bottled water, let alone basic food. As we are flying to UK and cannot take liquid on board with us what would you suggest we do?
Flew anadolu during covid in 2020 and they provided food and drink so no reason they wouldn't now.
Who informed you today?

maz-h has corrected me, but I thought you had to throw any liquid away, prior to boarding. I've certainly been stopped at Stansted in the past for having perfume in my overhead bag. The plastic zip lock bags had run out.

Ah right.
That will be at security when you enter the airport. Once through you are able to buy drinks and food from the shops & take it onto the plane.
You can also take an empty bottle through security & fill it up at the free drinking water points.

Buy the water airside - that is when you’ve gone through security.
You could also buy your cheese and tomato rolls, or in your case, bb, your caviar and blinis for your on-board picnic

Only if they also sell Kia Royale to wash it down.
