Yatsan bed
Looking in the Yatsan shop for a bed. Was impressed with the Sealy Portland bed. Anyone have any reviews on it?

Where is this Yatsan shop please? Do they have a website? We need a new bed but preferably metal framework or wood.

They advertise on this forum, the website is http://www.yatsancyprus.com
They are located in Lefkosa, the place opposite China Bazaar is a reseller.

Be advised that they may not have any mattresses in stock at this time. The factory in Turkey has only just gone back to work after summer holidays and then there is a waiting time for delivery from Turkey as well. Worth the wait if you want a quality product!!!

Try Ozok Mobilya , +90 548 854 6734. They are in Hamitkoy on the main Lefkosia road adjacent to the traffic lights and the small roundabout.
we bought a 200 * 160 Bamboo mattress of good quality and at a very reasonable cost.
i suggest you try a few places

Re: Yatsan bed
Yatsan worth the wait. We bought loads of stuff from Ozok when we moved here, most of which is still very much in use, plus bed heads etc but were unhappy with quality of mattresses. We used them for 6 months or so but not as comfortable as we wanted so Yatsan took them away for us. At that time they used to have a warehouse in Lefkosa where local people could buy cheap and clean used mattresses. I have no idea whether they still do that.

Ah I have seen their website before but they don't do what we're after. Ideally black metal frame as in the pic below, or wood.

Yes, but you can buy beds absolutely anywhere and they can be as cheap as chips. You have to do what we did and buy mattresses separately, its those that you sleep on. The rest is cosmetic.

Re: Yatsan bed
Go for a good wooden bed! Brought two with us from UK but can buy really good wooden beds - slatted or flat with holes for air - here, just look around. Iron ones look good but are heavy and can rust quite easily here, they generally come with a kind of wire base as well which is not the best thing to put a quality mattress onto. A quality mattress is the key to a good sleep and a long life!! On average you spend one third of your life on your bed - make sure it is a comfortable third - lol.

Re: Yatsan bed
Totally agree with waddo re wooden beds. We bought two double and two single wooden beds from Ozok in Lefkosa 18 years ago and still look as good as new. The metal ones impress holiday makers when they walk into their rental, but as waddo says, they do have a tendency to rust after a while and they weigh a tonne.
