We are moving to karsiyaka this month, we need soft furnishings and rugs ,etc
Gas or kerosene fires
Any advice for new mover , much appreciated

Sammy, Go for a day out in Lefkosia, there is much more choice than Girne and the prices can be a lot lower! Be careful of used LPG/Gaz Oil heaters, better and safer to buy new! Apparently "Facebook" is where the best bargains on used rugs/furnishings are - people leaving to other places in the World - but as I don't use it I can not confirm that. Don't know about Famagusta prices as have not been there since 1972 - lol. I do know that advertised used car prices are more expensive there than Girne. Hope it all helps a little.

Over the mountains to Lefkosia, down to the big roundabout or take the slip road to the left to miss out the roundabout. Straight ahead to the first set of traffic lights, straight over to the second set of traffic lights and turn right there, follow that road straight ahead to the next set of traffic lights and turn left at them then first right, on your right will be a large LCC clothes shop, almost opposite and on your left will be a large car park! Park in there and get out and wander around - lots of good shops about there including a large Metropol with three or four floors of bits and bobs. The whole area is known as "Metropol" as well - try that as a first attempt as it is easy to get to and get back out of - lol.
