International bank transfer via TEB/Turkish bank
Does anyone know what TEB (or any of the other Turkish banks) charge for an international Sterling transfer of £7000? The quotes from 2 local banks are pretty steep.
I know about Western Union, but having a major problem with them, although I have used them many times in the past.
I looked at Wise, but couldn't see how to do Sterling to Sterling.

When I need to I use Fast Cash with Turkbank it charges £30 for £3000.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Thanks Poppy. Do you mean pay UK bank charges and then bank charges for here through my UK bank (Halifax)? So suppose I would have to contact Halifax then to find out what the recipient costs would be?

If you do it online you can opt to pay all charges from uk bank, nothing is taken from TEB. I pay £5 in charges and the uk bank transfer fee.

Thank you very much Poppy, that is so useful. I don't actually have a TEB account at the moment, I have accounts with Creditwest and Limassol. I was thinking of opening another account here but Turkish bank, rather than local. Will head to Famagusta TEB branch this week.
So much appreciate the information, you are a star.

Just an update regarding TEB in Famagusta and to save anyone else a wasted journey. They only allow Cypriot and Turkish customers, no foreigners.
