Has anyone used the over winter Poolwic. We understand this goes in the pool around November December allowing pump to be turned off as Poolwic is supposed to suspend the algae growth etc. We have a salt chlorinator unit is it compatible,
thinking of using Poolwic so any information good or indifferent would be helpful.

Thank you in advance

We put it in the pool as per instructions, left the pool off for just over 4 weeks whilst we went back to UK and on return the pool was green, not at all what we expected. Sadly we had to empty the pool, but had been warned by our friend who looks after our pool that it would not work! But we thought it would be worth a try, so this year leaving the pool pump running for an hour a day overnight and keeping a check on the chemicals as needed.

It would be nice to have some other opinions. For my information too.
Winterizer products are used world wide with great success.
It was a new product type / concept to North Cyprus last year and we sold a total of 57 x 5 litre bottles at the end of 2018. So it would be great to hear from some of the other 56 customers who bought POOLWIC, if possible.

Specifically for you Josie, usually with a salt system winterizing of the pool is not necessary as your salt system continually takes care of the pool. (I am assuming it is installed in the same way as we install our Salt Systems).

I used this last year. Followed the instructions and didn't have any problems. Turned the pump off at beginning of November and put half in the pool and put the other half in January. Opened up the pool in March no problem and no green pool. Very cost effective.
