Advice please on the 90 day rule
My first post. However, we have enjoyed the varied topics, banter and advice from afar this year.
Advice appreciated.....We hope to ensure we have not misunderstood the 90 in180 day rule. Subject to vaccines, covid passports and the current border restrictions, we hope to travel for 36 days, 23 days and 30 days, between 10th May and 12th October 2021 all via Larnaca...fingers crossed on that bit.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Advice please on the 90 day rule
It is a case of simple maths really. Your count starts on the day you arrive. If you have not exceeded 90 days before the expiry of 180 days from when the count started then you have cracked it.

My understanding of the rules
If you enter 10 May you can come and go to the 10 Nov has many times you like until you reached 90 days.
Be aware they only give you 30 day normally, so for your 36 day stay show them your return tickets, ensure they give you the extra 6 days to cover your stay.

Re: Advice please on the 90 day rule
To stay more than 30 days we had to apply to immigration in Lefkosa with a letter from the hotel to show our booking and our return tickets, and passports, we could only do this once we were in Cyprus, we were given 60 days visa,
We were staying in a Hotel for 58 nights.

Just for clarification, do you rent or own a property here, Saintsfan?

Re: Advice please on the 90 day rule
Our friends who own a property were only given 30 days visa and had to apply to Immigration for an extension for 90 days, they first went to the Police Station in Girne but were sent to Lefkosa, they did have a problem because they had an open return ticket in the end they did manage to convince Immigration they were going to return to the UK before the 90 days were up.

Many thanks for the above info, we own a property and it was our intention, when restrictions are lifted, to buy a single journey ticket but maybe that's not such a good idea.
