Re: Road Tax
OK, there are a few tips that I have found useful -
Use Capital letters, not lower case for all text input.
Insert a Capital P in front of your passport number.
Make sure that the passport number that you use is the one that was in force on the day that the car was registered in your name.
If the car had been registered to someone else first, the date to use is the date that it was registered to you.
Don't enter the date using your keyboard, click on the little calendar icon using your mouse, and select the date in the sequence: Year, Month, Day (I know that sounds wrong, but trust me!).
There is always the possibility that the System contains incorrect information about you/your vehicle, in which case you would need to ask them to correct it...

Re: Road Tax
If your road tax not due until 1st December you can't do it in November. You can only apply during the due month

Mine is also the first date it was registered in TRNC.
However, I don’t know if a vehicle being pre-owned here makes a difference? Try both dates...

Re: Road Tax
When I had this issue, I emailed them with my registration number and got a quick reply with details of the passport number on file, registration date and amount due. (akos at bub.gov.ct.tr)

Re: Road Tax
Have now sorted my road tax out, went into the Tax Office in Peterborough this morning all done in less than 5 minutes. I still could not do it on line so gave up in the end.
